Two-day workshop on ‘Cyber Crimes and Cyber Laws’ begins at JU

JAMMU, May 7: A 2-day workshop on ‘Cyber Crimes and Cyber Laws’ began today at The Law School, University of Jammu (JU). The workshop is being prepared in collaboration with the Advanced Centre on Research, Development, and Training in Cyber Laws & Forensics, National Law School of India University, Bengaluru.

The purpose of the workshop is to make college students privy to cyber crimes, the interface of law and generation, investigation of cyber-crimes, aspects of cyberspace, and associated legal guidelines. In addition, the workshop will provide cognizance of problems and challenges in our online world and how the same is to be regulated with the aid of the rule of thumb of law. The workshop is being attended by over 150 students from the faculty of Law and different departments.

In the inaugural function, Prof Manoj Kumar Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, was the chief guest, and Dr. A Nagarathna, NLSIU, Bengaluru, became the guest of honor.
